Summary

St Mary's Church was constructed by R.T. Barker in 1922-23, within the area of Layer Breton Heath, following the demolition of the medieval church (MCC7323) in 1915. The earlier church stood opposite Layer Breton Hall c.1km to the south.

Full Description

St Mary's Church was constructed by R.T. Barker in 1922-23 following the demolition of the medieval church in 1915, which stood opposite Layer Breton Hall. Brick, oversized white weatherboarded w. belfry.<1>
