Parsons Heath is shown on the 1777 Chapman & Andre Historic Map (but is not labelled), located to the west of Harwich Road and bounding onto Soame Wood, c.21ha. In area.<1>
Parsons Heath is labelled on the County Series at 1:2500 Scale Epoch 1 Historic Map (1874-1887) but the extent of the heath is unclear and it has been enclosed.
