Smythers Farm is a historic farmstead located to the northwest of the settlement of Great Tey. It is first shown on the 1897-1904 Epoch 2 map to be a detached site, made up of seven buildings. All the original buildings on the site survive, including the Grade II listed C16 Smyther's Farmhouse (LB Number: 1267413). There have been a number of modern extensions to both the farmhouse and to the barns. All of the barns have been connected by extensions, forming an interlinked site with one courtyard. There is one historic landscape feature in the form of a farm pond. <1>
