Full Description

Baldwin's Farm is a historic farmstead located to the west of the settlement of Great Tey. The farm is first shown on the 1897-1904 Epoch 2 map to be an interlinked site with one clearly defined courtyard, and the hint of another. Over 70% of the original buildings survive, including two listed buildings. These are the Grade II listed C17 Baldwins Farmhouse (LB Number: 1223012) and the Grade II listed late C18 barn to the west of Baldwins Farmhouse (LB Number: 1267421). The other buildings were demolished between 1923 and 1972. There are some modern storage buildings located to the west of the original buildings, along with some extensions to existing structures. There is a farm pond located to the north of the farmhouse that was first shown on the Epoch 2 map. <1>
