Full Description
Buckler's Farm is a historic farmstead located to the northeast of the settlement of Coggeshall. The farm is first shown on the 1897-1904 Epoch 2 map to be a small interlinked site, forming a single courtyard. Approximately 90% of the buildings survive, including four listed buildings. These are the Grade II listed early C19 Bucklers Farmhouse (LB Number: 1223173), the Grade II listed C18 timber stables to the northeast of Bucklers Farmhouse (LB Number: 1223176), the Grade II listed early C19 timber framed barn to the north of Bucklers Farmhouse (LB Number: 1223174), and the Grade II listed C18 red-brick range to the west of Bucklers Farmhouse (LB Number: 1223175). There have been some modern extensions and alterations to the original buildings, however no new buildings have been added to the site. There is one historic landscape feature shown on the Epoch 2 map, which is a farm pond to the west of the site. <1>
