Full Description
Elm Farm is a historic farmstead located to the southwest of the settlement of Little Tey. The farm is first shown on the 1897-1904 Epoch 2 map to be a large detached site made up of eleven buildings. Over 90% of these buildings were demolished, leaving only one Grade II listed C16 three bay barn at Elm Farm (LB Number: 1223257). All the other buildings, including the farmhouse, were demolished between 1958 and 1973. The site has since become a lorry depot, with a huge number of modern buildings built to accommodate this, along with the listed barn becoming offices around 2005. On the Epoch 2 map four historic landscape features were shown to be situated around the site. However, only one farm pond to the east of the site has survived. <1>
