Full Description
Knaves Farm is a historic farmstead located to the north of the settlement of Little Tey. A farmstead called 'Naves' is depicted at this location on Chapman and Andre's 1777 map <1>. It is shown in broadly its current configurationon on the 1897-1904 Epoch 2 map as a large detached site made up of nine buildings. Approximately 75% of these buildings survive, including three listed buildings. These are the Grade II listed c.1850 Knaves Farmhouse (LB Number: 1266773), the Grade II listed C18 barn to the south of Knaves Farmhouse (LB Number: 1266822), and the Grade II listed c.1400 range to the south of the listed barn (LB number: 1266775). The demolished buildings had disappeared by 1973. The farmhouse has had a significant extension to its eastern face, mostly likely happening around 1972.
