Full Description

Mark's Tey Hall is a historic farmstead located to the southeast of the settlement of Marks Tey. It is first shown on the 1874-1887 Epoch 1 map to be a large detached site, made up of thirteen buildings. Over 50% of these have been demolished by 1966. There are three listed buildings on the site; the Grade II listed C16 Marks Tey Hall (LB Number: 1224576), the Grade II listed C17 barn to the northwest of Marks Tey Hall (LB Number: 1266768), and the Grade II* listed c.1400 barn to the south of Marks Tey Hall (LB Number: 1224577). There have been numerous modern buildings built to the southwest of the site. There are three historic landscape features on the site, including the remains of a moat that surrounded the hall. There are also two farm ponds. <1>
