Full Description

Pantile Farm is a historic farmstead located to the southwest of Copford Green, first shown on the 1874-1887 Epoch 1 map. The farm is a large detached site, forming a loose courtyard from seven buildings. Over 90% of the original buildings survive, but the Grade II listed early C19 farmhouse (LB Number: 1239140) has since become the dwelling known as Pantiles, seemingly separate now from the main site of Pantile Farm. There have been some modern buildings and extensions added to the site since the Epoch 1 map, including what loooks like a modern farmhouse to replace Pantiles, located to the east of the site. There is a farm pond located to the north of the site, which is the only historic landscape feature on the site. <1>
