Full Description

Yewtree Farm is a historic farmstead located to the west of the settlement of Messing, first shown on the 1897-1904 Epoch 2 map. It is a small site made up of two buildings, the farmhouse and a set of outbuildings. This outbuilding has been shortened through demolition, leaving only 60% of the original building. This means that only approximately 80% overall remains. There is one listed building on site, the Grade II listed C15/C16 Yewtree Farmhouse (LB Number: 1224591). There have been a number of modern storage buildings built on the site, including a grainstore located west of the farmhouse built around 1995. There is one historic landscape feature located on site, which is a farm pond found just east of the farmhouse. <1>
