Full Description
Peldon Common is shown on the County Series at 1:2500 Scale Epoch 1 Historic Map (1874-1887), located to the west of the settlement of Peldon. The common is roughly triangular shape, with an area of 0.7835ha. There are a number of buildings built along the edge of the common. These include the Grade II listed early C19 forge (LB Number: 1224732) and the Grade II listed late C17 Forge Cottage (LB Number: 1224706). The modern common is the same as the Epoch 1 version. <1>
