Full Description

Horkesley Green is originally shown on the 1777 Chapman & Andre Historic Map, labelled Horsley Green, located to the east of the settlement of Great Horkesley. The green is linear and small, along short section of green road with buildings fronting onto both sides of the green (none of these buildings have survive).<1>

Horkesley Green is labelled on the County Series at 1:2500 Scale Epoch 1 Historic Map (1874-1887), but the green itself is no longer apparent.
