Full Description
Claypit Green is shown on the County Series at 1:2500 Scale Epoch 1 Map (1874-1887), located to the south of the settlement of Copford (it is not shown on Chapman & Andre's 1777 map). The green is shown on this map to be linear in shape, but bending from north to west as it follows a bend in the road, with an area of c.1.2ha.<1>
