Full Description
Rectilinear enclosure-paddock system situated on the bank of the Stour. It comprises a series of large compounds, one subdivided to form small strip enclosures (probably several phases). Within a rectangular enclosure by the river is a smaller `squarish' enclosure, possibly a dwelling. The whole complex may represent a farmstead. <1> It appears to be a typical Romano-British farmstead of overlaid fields. <2> AP and other refs: <3> - <12> <13>
