Full Description

Late Neolithic knife, found by E Purdy. Fine bifacially worked blade of mottled grey flint. Length:11.5cm. Width:2.0cm. Thickness:0.5cm..All purpose tool generally called a skinning knife. Found 12cm below the surface while clearing the ground for building. <1> Possibly a sickle blade. <2> In Colchester Museum. <3> Photo in SMR. <4>
