Full Description

Bank about 5ft wide. Artefacts have been found, mainly C19 rubbish, but including C17 clay pipe bowl and a sherd of Staffordshire slipware. All the bricks date from the C16-17, and there was a structure further south which was demolished in the last quarter of the C18. The original records suggest this may have been a moated site. Only commoner with rights C Nyman, Mersea Road, Peldon. <1>-<3>
