Full Description

A group of wooden structures, possibly Bronze Age in date comprising: a fish trap; a hurdle structure and a large forked chunk of oak with flat metal-cut ends. The fish trap consists of a double, sometimes triple line of stakes stuck into the clay; they extended as a distinct line for c. 20m and for a further 40m could be traced by the presence of occasional uprights.<1> The hurdle comprised 53 straight rods, three of which were longitudinals their ends had been cut with a metal tool.<1><2>
