Full Description

The ground surface was levelled by contractors; no distinct features except at the W end where there were pits. A small area was part excavated and parts of 5 pits located. Pottery as follows: P5 - Flavian-Trajanic; P4 - Hadrianic + ; P1 early C2-early C3; P2 C3-C4. Pit 3 was a grave for a dog and also likely to be Roman. <1>
