Full Description

Lead coffin found at the back of the Salvation Army barracks in 1887 with other inhumation and cremation burials.<1>

Hull noted this coffin in his description of the West Cemetery of Roman Colchester but the location as plotted by Hull is somewhat E of the main cemetery (east of Chappel Street), within the area defined as the Abbeyfield Cemetery.
