Full Description

The OS 1:500 map marks a tessellated pavement found under a shed, 290ft west of North Hill and 170ft south of the Town Wall, without date.<1> Cutts Map shows this or another one indicating the same shed clearly, but this position of the pavement is more to the west, 330ft from North Hill and 170ft south of the town wall.<2> Cutt's records that this pavement was found in saw-pit in Bowler's Brewery, but Hull questions this.<3>
