Full Description

Record in Wire's diary; "visited the sewerage works Long Wire Street, when continuing the drain down Albion Court a tessellated pavement was discovered opposite the third and fourth doors on the north side of the court". Wheeler and Laver assume this to be the same as No.11 on Wire's sketch plan in the Album (plan reproduced in source 1) but this is shown in the middle of the E end of the court. "They may be one and the same but we doubt it". <1> - <3> Other refs. <4> <5>
