Full Description

A pavement and buff tesserae was found in Culver Street opposite Wotton and Attwoods approximately central to the N face of the building, 3.5ft from the surface and 24ft E-W. "Four days later there is another entry with a sketch showing part of Ager's house (next on west, now demolished); under the east part is shown a Roman wall running N-S, the top 3ft from the surface, the width not given. Under the west part, 3.5ft from the surface is a pavement of mixed red and buff tesserae, of considerable lateral extent". The wall is probably the same as Hull's site 139 (13037). <1>
