Full Description

Two walls of brick and septaria found under the modern High Street S of the former tram lines, Jan 1920, are marked on the 1:500 map in the museum. One extends to 17.5ft N of the building line, the other to 6ft. They were 354ft from the (then)Sw angle of High Street lying in an apparently E-W direction, 2.5ft thick, 3ft high. From the surface to their base was 7ft. Observed by PG Laver. <1> <2> <3>
