Full Description
Unpublished exacavation in garden and northern part of the adjacent plot to the south by pupils of the Royal Grammar School and Mr AF Hall. Extensive series of small trenches dug during mid 1950's. Unfortunately the Museum contains no information about this excavation except for a large site plan. Site contained Roman road, pits, burials and trenches. The pits were dated to mainly 1st and 2nd century. <4>
