Full Description

Trench dug across south side of the enclosure, ditch about 1.1m deep and 4.9m wide. Pottery found in the lower fill dated from the 8th century BC to c.50BC whereas in upper fill (possibly remains of bank) was found a piece of Roman tile. Earthworks suggested as being early to mid iron age or earlier. <4>
