Full Description

A Roman building with tessellated floor.
During construction of St James House 1969, remains of a tessellated floor were found by the workmen, just east of present pavement. East of this again were North-South and East-West walls, apparently of a corridor in the same house.<1> A map of the features uncovered has been published.<2>
