Ice house in grounds of East Hill House. <1> <2>
The ice-house lies within the Roman town walls. Very little is known about it apart from the fact that it lies underneath a mound. In 1988 a house was built very close to it, possibly cutting the lower slopes of the ice-house mound. <3>

Site Assessment = Well preserved, is within scheduled area. <1> Assessed by Oxford Archaeological Unit in August 1995 but not visited. Variously claimed to be in excellent condition damaged by tree roots and too dangerous to enter. <3>
