?Site of St Katherines Hospital (f. 1352). Nothing known of it or date of dissolution. Almshouses. Almshouses converted into a C18 workhouse in Crouch Street on the N side of London Road were called St Catherines Hospital or The Spittle in old writings (Morant). <1> <2>
