Full Description

Possible dyke or hollow way. An approximately 1.5m deep hollow runs north to south through the west part of Bounsted Grove continuing the line of the road which deviates to the west to avoid the wood. The road hedge contains 11 woody species in a 30m stretch and this is likely to be very old. A slight bank is visible immediately west of the c.4m wide hollow. The hollow is parallel to and between two other dykes, including the Berechurch Dyke to the east. <1>

Site Assessment = Unthreatened within wooded area. 1>
