Full Description

A fishstew can still be seen lying below the hall and adjacent church; it was formed by damming a small valley. <1> The fishpond at present is nearly empty and very marshy. The dam is 40m long and 1m wide on the inner side due to silting up, but increasing in height towards the centre on the outer side from 1m to an estimated 2.5m. <2> Other ref. <3>

Site Assessment = The site is densely overgrown with brambles etc in parts. The dam is in fairly good condition - there is a modern break at the centre. <2>
