Supposed site of Roman beacon or miliary <1><2><3>, at the corner of a supposed camp on the line of Shrub End Dyke, 'the 'supposed site' of which the Ordnance Survey maps were still naming there in 1921 (p 20). From what actual traces these might have been inferred, one can only guess (again p 20)'.<4>
