Site of a windmill. <1><2><3>
Post mill, known c.1850 as Digbys, located on the east side of the road leading northwards from the St Peter's Church, Birch. The windmill is illustrated on Chapman & Andre's 1777 map and marked on the 1st Edition 1:10,000 map (1800), but not on the 1st Edition 1:2500 map (1874-87).
Aerial photographs taken in 1990 show the circular mill mound as a cropmark. Also in the surrounding crop are several linear features, most probably old field boundaries and trackways. <4>
