Full Description

Possible Roman kiln site in the garden of Mr Duncan Clarke. The finds include pottery, vitrified kiln wall and clay blocks. Further along the same road in Alderman Piper's garden the same kind of finds were made. Wheeler and Laver Schedule no.189.<1> Other refs. <2><3>
