Full Description

Neolithic polished axe: others also found.<1> Axe found in c.1968 by W. King on his farm at Fordham Heath at above NGR. The field has yielded other flint axes which were given by Mr King to Colchester Museum.<2><3> The axe is of honey coloured flint; the field in which it was found has many flints of similar colouring and may well be the source of manufacture.<4><5> Other ref.<6>
