Medieval house built on an attenuated Z-shaped plan containing Elizabethan (second half of 16th century) details and 14th century framed floors.<4>

The Aldam Tithe Map of 1841 appears to show a large pond immediately to the south-east of the Hall, no longer present on the First edition 1:1250 County Series (1870s-80s) when the area is depicted as an orchard (or paddock).
