Roman brick in the fabric.<1>
Rodwell & Rodwell record, 'The great quantity of Roman bricks in the fabric probably came from a villa which is known a little to the north. There are also Roman finds from the churchyard and foundations of an unknown date have been reported in the grounds of the hall adjacent.'<2>
