Full Description
A Roman timber-lined drain or water-main discovered during excavations at Balkerne lane in 1973-6. The presence of the drain was indicated by a substantial trench which seemed to be curved in a series of short straight lengths. If the feature was a drain then it probably led into the town ditch.<1>
