Full Description

A fine Neolithic pick was found on the surface after ploughing by the farmer and owner of the land. This field is close to the railway embankment and beside Herds Pasture, in the garden of which was found part of a flint knife or dagger (found 200 yards away). The land is sand and gravel with clay patches overlying it. <1> <2> Source 1 has a drawing of the pick. <1>
