Full Description

Hull records, 'In 1948 the Roman Essex Society began to excavate in field 416 at the point A, where the air-photograph seemed to show traces of a building. Nothing was found save a few parallel grooves of varying length and intensity and irregular spacing in the subsoil. These were dismissed as due to ploughing.'<2><6>
