Full Description
Cropmarks: boundaries, linear features and clusters of very faint ring ditches to the south.<1>-<8>
Digital AP taken in Summer 2015 (TL 98232 21541) defined a subrectangular enclosure to the south of Birch Grove, aligned NE to SW with west-facing entrance.<9> It is also apparent of Google Earth (2000), as well as cropmarks of other linear ditches aligned NE to SW (and NW to SE), which are presumably the remains of enclosures/fields.<10>
The enclosure, aligned NE to SW, has been also detected (by Dr Tim Dennis) as a low earthwork using highpass-filtered by LIDAR in 2020.
