Full Description

During excavations at Balkerne Lane in 1973-6 (ECC332), remnants of a Roman building were discovered. Only small parts of the building were excavated so that little is known about their plans or arrangements of rooms. No plinths were discovered suggesting that the walls were set directly on the ground. Floors were of daub.<1>
