Full Description
In a pit, north of Copford Place. Found bones of Bison, Bos, Beaver, red Deer, Mammoth, Horse and Hippoptamus. Findings suggest different levels of the pit because mammoths are only found in cold periods, where as hippopotamus are found in interglacial sites. Bones found by Mr J Brown and are now preserved at the British Museum (Natural History). <1>
