Signpost. 1920s/1930s. Cast iron. Manufactured by Maldon Iron Works. A circular section tapered post with flat semicircular parish plate finial reading PARISH OF / FORDHAM and E.C.C. / STICK NO BILLS in centre. Arms: (1) 10½-inch reading WORMINGFORD / MOUNT BURES / SUDBURY (2) 7-inch reading COLCHESTER and (3) a 7-inch wooden replacement with reflective plates reading HALSTEAD A604. <1>
Part of Maldon Iron Works order No.R/927 dated 30/8/1932 for Lexden and Winstree Rural District. <2>
