Full Description

Contemporary records state, “Spigot mortar position. Flour Mills, Land between Mill Race and river. Map ref. 506517”. (Mil.Ed.) <1> From the description of the location it appears that this spigot mortar emplacement must have been sited on the island between the mill race and the lock.
