Full Description

The site is an open- sided rectangular structure, presumably a building, located to the east of the Tudor fort (MCC8861), lying on the foreshore surrounded by sand and shingle. The timbers survive to a height of between 0.2 and 0.4m. There is also a horizontal brushwood deposit lying to the west of this structure which might be the remains of a floor surface.

Posts to the south west of this structure are difficult to interpret, but they may be part of an embankment contemporary with the structure above.<1><2>
