Full Description
During excavations at Balkerne Lane in 1973-6 (ECC332) a 1.9m deep ditch running roughly east-west was discovered to the west of MCC517. This continued south as a smaller ditch (MCC540). The ditch appears to have been the southern boundary ditch of one or more plots associated with a building (s) (MCC493) with frontages onto the main street (MCC475).<1>
