Full Description
During excavations at Balkerne Lane in 1973-6 (ECC332) a 0.5m deep ditch running roughly north-south was discovered to the west of MCC517. This continued westwards as a large ditch (MCC541). The ditch appears to have been a boundary ditch linked to the southern boundary of one or more plots with frontages onto the main street (MCC475).<1>
