Full Description
Three Trial-trenches were excavated at 23 St Julian Grove, Colchester, in an archaeological evaluation, during which silty deposits containing peg-tile to a depth of 2m were observed. This is interpreted as being hillwash, which had accumulated over the centuries. No features relating to St Botolph's Priory were observed.<1>
