Full Description

Myland Hospital was built in 1884 with extensions in 1915 particularly for tuberculosis (see http://www.essexrivers.nhs.uk/emergency/introduction/HOSPITAL_STORY.htm) .
Myland Hospital was built in 1884 and demolished in 1989.<1>
The watching brief revealed evidence of the former hospital buildings in terms of rubble and ground disturbance. Of the trenches inspected no features or finds other than those of the former hospital were identified. <1>
