Full Description

possibly supplied bricks for the Savilles Distillery,built 1812 (NE) of Burnthouse Farm.
Owner of the land was George Saville who was mayor of Colchester in 1835, He also owned the nearby distillery. Tithe describes it as 'Brick Kiln Field'.

ASSESSMENT
A building dating to c. 1830 still survives on site and specfically in the area of ther brick kiln. Further information is needed to assess the extant building, as potentially important remains may survive intact. Furtehr investigation needed. <1>
